Still Hanging In There

Well I see that it has been quite some time since I last updated ye olde blog. I have been busy working on other things and really haven’t had a whole lot to chat about. But now it’s November and we are heading into the final quarter of 2004, a year that will live in gaming infamy. So many new games are coming out that it is impossible to afford list them all.

Last week I mosied down to the cheapo dollar movie theater to check out Spiderman 2. I was thoroughly impressed. That is a must-buy when it comes out on DVD. By the way I am seriously behind on my movies. Some awesome ones came out this year. I will make it a goal to see The Incredibles before I forget because that sounds like one awesome movie.

Well that about wraps up the interesting stuff that has been going on. I am working on a new website and as soon as I can get it to the point of not sucking I might use it instead of this fine blog.

Just When…

Just when I had my mind up to buy the Collector’s Edition of Half-Life 2 (to get it on a DVD, of course), Valve comes up with their super duper ultra mega HL2 deal that supposedly also includes a “Half-Life Collector’s box.”

I think I have changed my mind and will buy HL2 off Steam. My strength to resist is failing… help me…

Oh yeah, where’s HL2?

September 30th

Well apart from some progress, Half-Life 2 is now over a year late. That is kind of saddening.

As we all can read for ourselves, Vivendi could sit on HL2 for up to six months. Would it be wise for them to do so? No way. We need the game, and Valve and Vivendi need the revenue. To delay the game any further at this point would be futile. Let Valve and Vivendi work out their dispute in court over Steam, and let Half-Life 2 free. They don’t have enough legal mumbo jumbo in their case to warrant a delay of one of the most-anticipated games of all time.

More School

Well it’s that time of year again. I am back in school and taking what I consider to be a rather boring set of classes this time around:

  • Math 1060 – Trigonometry
  • Business 1050 – Business and Society
  • Physics 1010 – Physics for Dummies Introduction to Physics

Today I took my first test in Physics. It was kind of easy. Trig is a right pain, on the other hand. Business is all right, but kind of uninteresting.
