All right, you got me. This isn’t the first post. But, it is the first in the database, so that must count for something. What I’ve done here is convert my old static HTML blog (oh, the horror) to a fancy, dynamic, sexy PHP/MySQL blog.
I had plans to convert this to my own homegrown news/blog engine, but I was so impressed with WordPress that I decided that for my blog I would use that. I still have plans to create my own “chatty” system, but I wanted to bring my page into the 21st century as soon as possible.
Something else you will notice is that comments are back! Yes, if you want to lament and moan about how drab this page is, you can do that in the comments. I will be changing the style sheets so it more closely resembles something that I actually made, but all that will come in time. Enjoy the site until then 😛
These comments are weak compared to the almighty chatty system that will someday replace this feeble weblog! (hopefully)
